NESTING - a 5 part installation
Nests, fish traps and spires are forms that shelter, confine and contain. I am drawn to the conical shapes of these things, some of them open and some of them closed, acting as metaphors for either an abundance of faith, trust or survival - or the absence of it. The result of collecting, re-purposing and manipulating reed, cold cast bronze and resin, the Nesting installation of five human-scale structures relates to our need to reinvent ourselves as we attempt to adapt to our ever-changing environments.
